AlgaEurope 2026 to Bring the Global Algae Community to Malta
The global algae sector will gather in the Mediterranean as AlgaEurope 2026 takes place in Malta from 8 to 11 December 2026. The event will welcome researchers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs and policymakers for four days dedicated to innovation, collaboration and knowledge exchange in the rapidly growing algae and seaweed sector.
The programme will feature an extensive scientific conference, a large international trade show and poster presentations covering the latest developments in microalgae, macroalgae and seaweed applications. Participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with key players from both science and industry, fostering dialogue across the entire algae value chain.
In addition to the core conference activities, AlgaEurope 2026 will offer multiple networking events designed to encourage partnerships and new business opportunities. Attendees will also be able to experience Malta’s rich cultural heritage and distinctive Mediterranean atmosphere, making the event both professionally valuable and socially engaging.
Registration is expected to open soon, with full details to be made available on the official conference website. AlgaEurope 2026 is jointly organised by EABA and DLG Markets Benelux, continuing their long-standing collaboration to promote the algae-based bioeconomy at a global level.
With a strong focus on the blue economy and sustainable innovation, AlgaEurope 2026 is set to be a key meeting point for anyone involved in algae research, production and commercialisation worldwide.
